KSP to participate in Prescription Take-Back Initiative

(Columbia, Ky.) -- On April 30, 2011, the Kentucky State Police along with the DEA will participate in a national prescription take-back initiative to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from our communities. Post 15 will accept expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs, non-controlled and over the counter substances from local citizens from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST on Saturday, April 30. Intra-venous solutions, injectibles and syringes WILL NOT be accepted.

This one day effort will bring national focus to the issue of pharmaceutical controlled substance abuse. Post 15 services Washington, Marion, Taylor, Green, Adair, Casey, Russell, Metcalfe, Monroe, Clinton and Cumberland Counties.
