DUI Injury collision on KY Hwy 90

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Trooper Logan Richardson is investigating a collision that occurred at 10:38 AM on KY Hwy 90, approximately 2 miles east of Beaumont. 46 year old Freddy Parrish, of Beaumont, was operating a 1997 Pontiac eastbound on KY Hwy 90. Mr. Parrish lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail. Freddy Parrish was admitted to TJ Samson Hospital. One passenger, 45 year old Tony Parrish, also of Beaumont, was treated and released at TJ Samson Hospital. Both occupants were belted. Freddy Parrish was cited to court on charges of DUI 1st, Operating on Suspended License, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Prescription Medication not in Proper Container, No Insurance, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change. Tony Parrish arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Prescription Medication not in Proper Container, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
