Methamphetamine Lab Seizure & Arrest

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested two Greenup County residents after discovery of a Clandestine Methamphetamine Lab at their residence on Mound Park Road (off Smith Branch) in Greenup County, KY. The incident occurred late yesterday evening around 1145 PM when troopers received information about a potential lab at this location. When troopers arrived, they discovered several ingredients or precursors utilized to manufacture methamphetamine.

Both occupants of the residence were arrested and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.

Arrested were: Kristy Kelly, age 35, and Laura Riley, age 37, both of Greenup. Both were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd Offense.

KSP troopers were assisted by KSP Drug Enforcement Special Investigations.

The case is being investigated by Trooper Tyrus Robinson.
