Assault Arrest in Hitchens, KY

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Carter County resident on Assault charges following an altercation that occurred in Hitchens, KY. The incident occurred around 0130 hours this morning (10/04/2011) at the residence of Glen Wallace of Coal Camp Road. The investigation revealed Mr. Wallace and John Clark Jr., age 19 Hitchens, KY got into a physical altercation and Mr. Clark used a knife to stab Mr. Wallace twice in the buttocks. Mr. Wallace was transported to Kings Daughters Medical Center for his injuries.

Mr. Clark was arrested and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center. He was charged with Assault 1st Degree, Class B Felony.

The cause of the altercation is still under investigation but alcohol was suspected as a factor.

The case is being investigated by Trooper Jim Ryland.
