Felony Drug Arrests in Ashland, Ky

(Ashland, Ky.) --The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested two Virginia residents on drug trafficking charges following a drug bust at the Knights Inn Hotel on US in Ashland early this morning. After receiving information about illegal drug trafficking from a room at the Knights Inn, troopers responded by conducting a search of the suspected room. The search turned up a large amount of cash (over 7,000 dollars), over 1500 oxycodone pills, and assorted drug paraphernalia. During the search, one of the occupants from the room pulled into the parking area in her vehicle, which was a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant. She was arrested for Operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st Offense. The vehicle was also seized and drugs and a handgun were located inside of it as well.

Charged with: Operating Motor vehicle under influence of Alcohol/Drugs 1st Offense, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prescription not in Proper Container 1st Offense, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
Jeanetta D. Priestly age 31 of Powhatan, VA
Charged with: Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense.
Both suspects were arrested and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center
The case is being investigated by Trooper Shane Goodall.
