Date of News Release: 06/23/2011

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a former Olive Hill resident on charges stemming from an investigation into illegal sexual activity of two underage juveniles (one male and one female). General Jackson Tackett, age 42, of Guatemala was arrested without incident at the 191 mile marker on I-64 by Detective Chris Carter on outstanding warrants for the following charges:

Rape 1st Degree
Sodomy 1st Degree (3 counts)
Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (3 counts)

The investigation started in May 2011 after the Kentucky State Police was notified by the Department of Community Based Services in Carter County of two juveniles that came forward claiming they were sexually assaulted by Tackett during an extended period of time.

Tackett was arrested during a traffic stop on I-64 and a search warrant was executed on his vehicle. Several computer related items were seized from the vehicle. Tackett was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center where he will eventually be transported to the Carter County Detention Center.

The case is under investigation by Detective Chris Carter.
