Arrest at Traffic Checkpoint

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested an Ohio resident on three outstanding warrants. Wesley Kinstler, age 30, of South Point was a passenger in a vehicle stopped during a routine traffic checkpoint in the Westwood area on 3-11-11 around 5pm. After a check of Kinstler's identification, it was determined he was wanted on charges of felony forgery out of Ohio as well as Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument Second Degree stemming from an investigation by Russell Police Department. Kinstler was charged with 2 counts of Fugitive From Another State and the one count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree.

Kinstler was transported and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.

Trooper Jeff Kelley is the investigating officer on the theft.
