One killed in a single vehicle collision on KY 421

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On September, 4, 2011 Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call of a single vehicle fatal collision in Leslie County. The crash occurred on KY 421 South, in Hyden. KSP along with Leslie County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene, and determined that the driver of the vehicle involved lost control in a curve, and drove off of the roadway. After crossing a grassy field, the vehicle crashed through a guard rail and struck an earthen embankment. The driver, 22 year old Daniel Adams of Hyden, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Leslie County Coroner Greg Walker. The victim was not wearing a seat belt. This collision remains under investigation by Trooper Chris Frazier.
