KSP looking for an escapee

(Hazard, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police from Post 13 in Hazard are investigating an escape that occurred in Knott County shortly after 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday. The escapee, Stevie Daniel Wynn, 32 years old of Thornton, KY in Letcher County was being transported from a court appearance in Hazard, back to the Letcher County Jail in Whitesburg , KY. He was able to climb through a security screen inside the transport vehicle. He assaulted and overpowered the jail security officer and escaped in the transport van.

Troopers are looking for Wynn who is described as a white, male, standing 6'1" tall and weighing 160 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes and a tattoo on his upper left arm. He was last seen wearing an orange jump suit and operating the stolen transport van, a white in color 2010 Dodge Caravan, bearing a Kentucky Official Registration Plate, 4254DD.
