Meth lab located in Leslie County

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On February 1, 2011 at approximately 6:22 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call of a possible meth lab at 295 Ash Branch in the Hyden Community of Leslie County. Troopers along with the Leslie County Sheriff's Department responded to the residence and contacted the home owners Onzie and Susan Souder. An active meth lab was located along with approximately one ounce of the finished product. Present in the home also were Onzie and Susan's three small children along with two other adults. The Department of Protection and Permanency were contacted and the children were transported to Mary Breckenridge Hospital for treatment. Two of the kids were transferred to Hazard ARH for additional treatment. Onzie and Susan Souder along with David and Russell Dodson, all which reside in Hyden, were arrested and lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Wanton Endangerment, Criminal Abuse, and numerous other charges. The investigation is continuing by Tpr. Loren Holliday.
