Two Men Arrested Five Deputies and One Trooper Exposed to Toxic Meth Lab Fumes

(Frankfort, KY.) -- On Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 3:11 PM Kentucky State Police and the Scott County Deputies responded to a complaint of a possible meth lab in northern Scott County.
The Trooper and Deputies arrive at a trailer located at 530 North Dividing Ridge Rd to investigate. Before opening the door the accused attempt to cover up their meth lab by pouring it down a kitchen sink drain.
The Trooper and Deputies enter into the trailer and find a fire and are exposed to active meth lab fumes. They locate one of the accused suffering from burns from meth lab burns.
The Kentucky State Police have arrested Jeremy T. Centers age 36 of Sadieville, KY he is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Tampering with Physical Evidence and six counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st (Police Officer) he was also treated at the scene by Scott County EMS. Phillip M. Jean age 32, of Georgetown, KY has been charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine. They were lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
The Post 12 Kentucky State Police Clandestine Lab response team was called to the scene to dismantle and cleanup the meth lab. The Trooper and five Deputies were treated at the scene by Scott County EMS for bronchial irritation. Because of their meth lab exposure they were also treated and released from a Hospital Emergency Room in Lexington, KY.
The investigation is continuing by Post 12 Frankfort. Kentucky State Police Post 12 provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties. The Scott County Sherriff Office, Scott County Fire and EMS assisted Kentucky State Police.
