Frankfort Post 12 Shop with a Trooper

Date of News Release: 12/05/2011

(Frankfort, KY.) -- One hundred kids from over 75 different families in the Frankfort Post area will receive toys and clothing this Christmas holiday during the "Shop with a Trooper" Program. This years Frankfort Post "Shop with a Trooper" program is possible because of the many businesses, individuals and Troopers who give of the time and money to assist families in our Post area. We want to thank the Kentucky State Police Professional Association, the Kentucky State Police, Wal-Mart, the numerous businesses and the very important individuals who team up with us to make our "Shop with a Trooper" program possible. Your effort in helping kids will not go unrewarded.

During this holiday season the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post is excited about the many lives that will be touched from our "Shop with a Trooper" program. Our number one goal is to help kids and in return wouldn't it be great that one day those same kids go on to help someone else.

For the next few days the kids selected will be shopping with Troopers, CVE Officers and KSP Citizens Police Academy members and other Kentucky State Police employees at four Wal-Marts within the Frankfort Post area.

Captain Matt Scott Commander of Post 12 stated "At this time of the year we are blessed to have the opportunity to provide toys and clothing to needy families in our area. With the current financial crisis affecting everyone, I am especially pleased our local businesses and individuals have remained committed to our cause of providing to those less fortunate. This is just another way the Kentucky State Police show our commitment to the citizens we proudly serve". Many of the Kentucky State Police Post around the State will be doing there part to assist families in need.

Your help is always needed and you can contact TFC Ronald Turley at (502-227-2221) if you or your company would like to assist the Frankfort Post. We want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
