Scott County Man Arrested for Manufacturing Meth

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM, Kentucky State Police Narcotic Detectives from the Frankfort Post responded to a complaint of a meth Lab at 115 Warrendale Drive in Georgetown, KY.

At the residence detectives located meth precursors for making meth and arrested John H. Wall, age 39 of Georgetown, KY. Wall has been charged Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st. He was lodged in the Scott County Regional Jail. Post 12 Kentucky State Police Clandestine Lab response team were called to the scene to dismantle the meth lab. No one was injured and no children were present at the residence.

In 2010 there were a total of 1,080 reported Meth Lab reported in the state of Kentucky. As of May 2010 there were 426 Meth Labs reported, in the same time period in May 2011 there were 565 Meth Lab reported. Meth labs in 2011 have increased by 25 percent. As of June 29, 2011 there have been 600 Meth Labs reported.

The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort. Post 12 provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties. The Scott County Sherriff Office, Scott County Fire and EMS assisted Kentucky State Police.
