KSP Drug Seizure and Arrest

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- On the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Kentucky State Police Detectives from the Frankfort Post and the Richmond Post were conducting an active narcotics investigation in the Lexington area. The detectives received information on an individual transporting a large quantity of narcotics. The Kentucky State Police Narcotics Detectives and a uniformed Trooper located the suspect traveling through Lexington and initiated a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation.

The suspect is identified as David Hunt of Florida. During the traffic stop Hunt was found to be in possession of 1,277 suspected oxycodone pills and $3,950 in cash. A search warrant was obtained and executed at Hunts Lexington residence. At the residence detectives found an additional 60 suspected oxycodone pills, suspected marijuana and approx., $4,100.00 in cash.

There was a total of 1,337 suspected oxycodone pills were seizures, have a street value of over $40.000 and approx., $8,000.00 in cash confiscated.

David Hunt has been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
