KSP Arrest Scott County Man for Arson 1st & Five other Felony Charges

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:49 AM, the Georgetown Fire Department received a 911 call of a house fire at 317 Bunkerhill Drive, Georgetown, KY. The Georgetown Fire Department and Scott County EMS arrived and located the home owner Daniel Parker suffering from second and third degree burns, he received while extinguishing the house fire. Georgetown Fire Department Investigator contacted Post 12 Arson Investigator to assist in the investigation.

Investigation has revealed that Mr. Beaucham attempted to set his girlfriend's family residence on fire because of a recent break up. On Sunday, March 6, 2011, at approximately 2:45 Mr. Beaucham entered a crawlspace under the Parker's residence. He used an accelerant and started a fire. Mr. Parker saw smoke coming from floor vents and evacuated the residence. Mr. Parker crawled under the house an attempted to extinguish the fire. Mr. Parker and family members were successful in putting the fire out.

On Monday, March 07, 2011 at 9:33 AM, Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator arrested Brian P. Beaucham, age 18, of Georgetown, KY. He has been charged with Arson 1st, Burglary 1st and four counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st. He was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
