Post 12 "Cram the Cruiser" food donation

Date of News Release: 01/04/2011

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- The Kentucky State Police began accepting donations of non-perishable food items on December 5, 2010, for its Cram The Cruiser food drive.

On Monday, December 20, 2010 the Frankfort Post delivered 600 pounds of food to the Safe Harbor Baptist Fellowship's in Georgetown, KY. The food donation will be given out through the God's Table of Grace food pantry at the church.

Until Monday, volunteers with Safe Harbor Baptist Fellowship's God's Table of Grace food pantry did not know how they were going to feed the 60 families that needed food donations this month. The donated food will help the church meet the needs of the families that show up at the pantry.

Special thanks go to the citizens in the Post 12 area who donated the food, the Frankfort Post Troopers, and employees, Post 12 Citizens Police Academy and the KSP retires.
