Meth Lab Investigation and Arrests in Whitley County

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Wednesday, December 07, 2011 at approximately 9:15 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a complaint of a possible Methamphetamine Lab at a residence on KY 895 in the Canadatown Community of Whitley County.
Upon arrival and investigation Trooper Les Moses, Trooper Tony Dingess and officers from the Williamsburg Police Department discovered components used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine inside the residence. The components consisted of coffee filters, lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine, alcohol, drain cleaner, starter fluid and ammonium nitrate.
Also discovered in the residence was Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication.
Arrested at the residence were:
- Angela B. Gilreath, 25, of Williamsburg, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Wendell C. Canada, 38, of Williamsburg, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- William F. Strunk, 27, of Corbin, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All three (3) were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
Trooper Moses is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by Trooper Tony Dingess and the Williamsburg Police Department.
