Traffic Crash with Injury in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Monday, December 05, 2011, at 5:50 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified of a two vehicle traffic crash, with injury, on KY 312 in Laurel County, KY.

Upon arrival KSP Trooper Michelle Lunsford determined that a black, 2001, Chevrolet, Cavalier, operated by Aundrea Price, 31, of London was westbound on KY 312 when it went out of control, on the rain slicken highway, and entered the path of a white, 2003 Chevrolet, Silverado, pickup truck operated by Kenneth B. Allen, 42, of Corbin.

Price, who was not wearing her seat belt, was transported to the Baptist Regional Medical in Corbin for treatment of her injuries.

Breanna Buttrey, 13, of London, a passenger in the Price vehicle (her daughter), was wearing her seat belt and was transported to the Baptist Regional Medical in Corbin for treatment of her injuries.

Both Price and Buttrey were extricated from their vehicle.

Allen, who was wearing his seat belt, received minor injuries and did not seek medical attention at the time.

No alcohol or drug involvement suspected.

Trooper Lunsford is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by the Laurel County EMS, the Laurel County Rescue Squad and the Keavy Fire Department.
