Two killed in a single vehicle collision on KY 11 south in Clay County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at approximately 3:20 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash on KY 11 south in Clay County.

Upon arrival Trooper Jeff Senters determined that a maroon, 1994, Toyota, Camry, passenger car, operated by Kimberly Jackson, 27, of Manchester was traveling southbound on KY 11 when it went out of control in a curve, traveled over an embackment and came to rest in a creek.

Ms. Jackson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Coroner Danny Finley.

A passenger in the vehicle, Rickie Ramos, 27, of Manchester, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was able to exit the vehicle and was uninjured.

A second passenger, Gabriella Ramos, 5 months of age, who was in a child safety seat, was transported to the Manchester Memorial Hospital, by EMS, and later pronounced dead by the Clay County Coroner.

Alcohol and/or drug usage is not suspected.

Trooper Senters is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff's Department, the Manchester Police Department, Clay County EMS, the Lockards Creek Fire Department, the Kentucky Department of Highways and the Clay County Coroner's Office.
