Arrest in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On August 15, 2011 at approximately 11:55 PM, KSP Sergeant Steve Walker conducted a traffic stop on KY312, 10 miles south of London in Laurel County.
During the course of the investigation, items used to manufacture methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.
The operator, Danny Peace, 48, of Corbin was arrested on the charges of Driving Under the Influence, Disregarding a Stop Sign and Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Melinda Monhollen, 34, of Gray, KY was also arrested on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors.
Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
On August 16, 2011, two search warrants were executed at two separate residences belonging to Danny Peace. The first located on Leona Wyatt Road and the second on Beatty Avenue in the city of Corbin. During the search several firearms, explosive equipment and devices were located and confiscated.
Federal charges have been filed on Danny Peace who was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The investigation continues by Agent Bob O'Neil, ATF Agent Todd Tremaine, and KSP Sergeant Steve Walker. They were assisted by Kentucky State Police Bomb Unit, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm Agents, KSP Detective Kelly Farris, KSP Troopers Mike King and Dallas Eubanks and the Whitley County Sheriff Department.
