Three arrested during traffic stop in Knox County

(Corbin, KY) -- On September 24, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call of three individuals parked in a white passenger car in the Corbin Kroger parking lot. Troopers were told that all three individuals had come into the store and bought one box of pseudo ephedrine pills. Trooper Jacob Wilson located this vehicle and made a traffic stop on U.S. 25E in Knox County. After a brief investigation by Tpr. Wilson and Agent Bob O'Neil with the U.S. Forestry Service, they found out that the pills were being delivered to a location in London to manufacture methamphetamine. All three subjects were arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The following individuals were charged:

  1. Micheal Smith- 45 yrs old from London Ky.
    Three counts of Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors 1st offense.
  2. Jerry Durham- 35 yrs old from East Bernstadt Ky.
    Three counts of Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors 1st offense.
  3. Tiffany Shultz 31 yrs old from London Ky.
    Two active warrants from Bell County, Expired Registration Plates and three counts of Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors 1st offense.
