Shots fired complaint in the Artemus community of Knox County

(Artemus, Ky.) -- On 09/16/2011 at 10:11 am Post 10 Harlan received a call of a shots fired complaint in the Artemus community of Knox County. Preliminary investigation indicates two white males were attempting to steal scrap metal from a barn. The property owner showed up and confronted both suspects. One suspect fled into the woods and the other suspect fled away from the scene in a passenger vehicle. The home owner recognized the individual fleeing in the vehicle to be Jackie Boles. A short time later the suspect's vehicle was located a short distance away from the scene abandoned. Anyone with information on where Jackie Boles may be located contact Kentucky State Police or your local law enforcement agency. Det. Jason York is in charge of the investigation. Det. York was assisted by officers from Barbourville Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff's Department.
