Harlan County Pastor Arrested

(Harlan, Ky.) -- On 05/22/2011 at 7:35 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 10 in Harlan received a call of a possible sexual molestation between the pastor of a local church and a female under the age of 14 who is a member of the congregation.
Trooper James Earl Hensley and Detective Michael H. Cornett responded to the complaint. Following the initial investigation a warrant was issued for the arrest of the pastor of the Loyall Church of God. Jeremy Dewayne Caraway, age 36, of Loyall, KY was arrested and charged with two counts of Rape 2nd Degree-No Force, two counts of Sexual Abuse-1st Degree, two counts of Sodomy 2nd Degree, and two counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st Degree – Illegal Sex Act, Under 16 years of age. Mr. Caraway has been the pastor of numerous churches in more than one state over the past several years. Mr. Caraway was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with no bond until his court appearance.
