Double Shooting Knox County

James Bargo

(Woodbine, Ky.) -- On 4/19/2011 at 1:45pm, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call from Knox Dispatch that two subjects had been shot near Hedden Lane in the community of Woodbine, KY. Harold Croley, age 60 of Corbin, KY and Charity Carter, age 30 of Woodbine, KY were in a vehicle parked in a wooded area. James Bargo, age 57 of Woodbine, KY allegedly walked up to the vehicle and shot Croley and Carter multiple times and then fled the scene. Ms. Carter was able to get to Hedden Lane where she was found by subjects passing by. Both Carter and Croley were flown out to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. James Bargo is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has information as to where James Bargo is located, please contact Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan at 606-573-3131. Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

This case is still under investigation by Detective Jason York of Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
