Murder Investigation in Knox County

(Barbourville, Ky.) -- On 12-20-10 Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan responded to a call from a UPS employee that he had found the body of Katherine Mills age 67 at 6845 KY 223, Dewitt KY. Evidence at the scene indicates that Ms. Mills was robbed and she died on the morning of 12-20-10. At this point in the investigation witness' have put an unknown white male coming from the corner of the residence were Ms. Mills was found dead. The male is described as being around six foot in height, with long hair and facial hair. The unknown subject was wearing blue jeans and hunting coat with a Mossy Oak camo pattern with a hood. The unknown subject was seen walking from the corner of the residence were Ms. Mills was lying to a blue car in the driveway just off of KY 223. murder investigation car The car was described as a bright blue four door with a sticker in the back window. The vehicle has been seen in the Stinking Creek community since the incident. It is possible that the male and person's involved have changed there appearance and may have hidden or disposed of the vehicle. There have been several people that have given essential information to assist with the investigation and the family wants to extend there deepest gratitude to them.
