Robbery 1st Degree arrests Bell County

(Middlesboro, Ky.) -- On 01/05/11 at 12:16pm, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan responded to an armed robbery at the Vendors Mall on US 25E near Middlesboro, Ky. Two male subjects robbed the Venders Mall at gunpoint and then fled the scene. A short time later, the two subjects were located in the parking lot of the Bell County High School. One of the subjects attempted to flee in a vehicle, almost hitting a Bell County Sheriff Deputy and Trooper Tyson Lawson. The subject then ran into a parked vehicle where he was apprehended by Trooper Tyson Lawson. Arrested was William Kenneth Mann, age 32 of Wallins, Ky. Mr. Mann was charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000.00, Robbery 1st degree, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, reckless driving, three counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. The other male subject arrested was Andrew W. York, age 23 of Hulen, Ky and he was charged with Complicity to Commit Robbery 1st degree. Both subjects were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. William Mann has other charges pending in this investigation.
This case is still under investigation by Trooper Tyson Lawson of Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
