Flood Clean Up Efforts in the Communities of Raccoon and Harless Creek

Date of News Release: 07/24/2010

(Pike County, Ky.) -- Clean up efforts are continuing in the communities of Raccoon and Harless Creek. Crews are working in these communities to restore various utilities. The utility work which is being done is causing roadways in these communities to be blocked for long periods of time, creating delays for motorists. KSP is asking that anyone who does not reside in the areas nor involved in the cleanup efforts, please stay clear of these areas if at all possible. If travel on these roads is necessary KSP is asking that motorists use caution, be aware of the utility crews in the areas and allow for delays.

KSP has stationed command Centers in the Harless Creek and Raccoon areas. If anyone living or working in the communities need to report any suspicious activities or obtain information they are asked to call Kentucky State Police command centers: Harless Creek 1-877-246-5985, Raccoon Creek 1-877-246-5891.
