Injury collision involving a commercial vehicle on US460

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On December 29, 2010 at 1039 hours, Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Montgomery County Dispatch of an injury accident involving a commercial vehicle on US460. KSP-CVE Officer Jason Townsend, unit 4254, Officer John Abner, unit 4285, Officer Jessie Stewart, unit 4063 and Sergeant John Kearns, unit 4166 responded to the scene. Paul Wages of Owingsville was operating a 1998 GMC truck east bound on US 460, just west of New Cut road. Mr. Wages had drifted into the ditch off the right shoulder, he overcorrected the vehicle and overturned. The vehicle slide approximately one hundred feet, and came to a rest in a vacant parking lot, at the corner of US 460 and New Cut road. Mr. Wages was transported to Saint Joseph in Mt. Sterling. The truck was loaded with propane, but the load was never compromised. Incident remains under investigation by Sergeant John Kearns, unit 4166.
