Injury collision on Kentucky 205 South in Wolfe County

Date of News Release: 11/23/2010

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On November 23, 2010, Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Wolfe County Dispatch of an injury accident on Kentucky 205 South, in Wolfe County. Trooper Britt Rollins, Trooper Charles Bowling, and Trooper Erwin Eiserman responded to the scene. Mr. Salyer advised that a deer had entered his lane of travel, while he was traveling South on Kentucky 205. Mr. Salyer tried to maneuver around the deer, he crossed the North bound side of Kentucky 205, and came to rest in the ditch. Mr. Salyer was transported by Wolfe County EMS to Morgan County ARH were he is expected to be airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center. Mr. Salyer was citied for Possession of Controlled Substance Second Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance Third Degree, and Failure to wear Seat Belts. Incident remains under investigation by Trooper Charles Bowling.
