Arrest of Jamie Baker

James Everett Baker

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Jamie Baker, perpetrator of a robbery on Bethel School Rd in Bath County on October 31, 2010, was arrested today in Fleming County. Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on Sherburne Rd when off-duty Fleming County Deputy Ralph Lockard reported a male subject on his property resembling the description of Jamie Baker. Although Mr. Baker provided false information to Deputy Lockard his physical characteristics led to him being positively identified. Trooper Eugene Robinson and Trooper Daniel Armstrong arrested Mr. Baker on outstanding warrants for Robbery 2nd Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree and Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree. Deputy Lockard also charged Mr. Baker with Giving Officer False Name or Address and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense.

Jamie Baker has been lodged in the Mason County Detention Center.

(Morehead, Ky.) -- At approximately 5:18am 10/31/10 Kentucky State Police Post 8 received a report that Mr. Bobby Bashford had just returned home advising he had been robbed at gunpoint by three male subjects with a pistol. Mr. Bashford reported $1700 cash and approximately 160 prescription pills had been stolen from him. Following interviews and investigation by Trooper Chad Bowling and Trooper Nathan Shortridge arrest warrants were issued for Robbery 2nd degree on Christopher Anderson, John Baker, and Jamie Baker. Mount Sterling Police notified Post 8 that two females who accompanied the male perpetrators during the commission of the crime had rented rooms at the Days Inn in Mount Sterling. Search warrants were obtained and executed at Days Inn resulting in the arrest of John Baker, Christopher Anderson, Lindsey Goodwin and Nancy Baker and the recovery of $600 cash. The gun used in the robbery was located under the bed in one of the hotel rooms occupied by the children of both females. The four arrestees were lodged in the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Still at large is Jamie Baker (James Everett Baker), white male, age 24, brown hair, blue eyes, approximately 5'11, 220lbs, tribal tattoo on left arm, cross tattoo on right forearm.
