DUI Injury Collision on KY 377 in Rowan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On November 1, 2010, at 2345 hours, Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call from Morehead Police Department, to respond to a single vehicle accident on KY377 in Rowan County. Trooper Joseph Zalone and Trooper Chris Jones responded to the accident. Jeremy Kidd was traveling southbound on KY 377 in a 2003 Pontiac passenger car. Mr. Kidd apparently lost control of his vehicle, ran off the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle then crossed the roadway and struck another embankment. Mr. Kidd was transported by Rowan County Fire and Rescue to St. Claire Medical Center where he was treated and released for minor injuries. After being released, Mr. Kidd was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence 1st Degree, Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change, Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container, and No Insurance. Mr. Kidd was lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Zalone.
