Two escapees from Woodsbend Boys Camp apprehended

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On October 26, 2010 at 1533 hours, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a trespassing complaint at 6155 KY519, Morehead, Kentucky. Trooper Scott Caudill and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Tommy Jones responded to the scene. A search of the scene revealed two juveniles, who had previously escaped from the Woodsbend Boys Camp in West Liberty, Kentucky. Trooper Mike McPherson had investigated the escape of two juveniles on October 11, 2010, and along with Trooper Charles Bowling, arrived on scene to verify their identity and to execute Governor's Warrants for Escape Second Degree on both juveniles. The two juveniles were arrested by Trooper Mike McPherson and transported to the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center for lodging. The two juveniles are also suspects in burglaries occurring in the area and were in possession of stolen firearms, jewelry, and other items. Charges in reference to the burglaries are pending at this time. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Caudill.
