Federal Indictment of Elliott County Officials

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On October 13, 2010 the Kentucky State Police assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigations in serving federal indictment summons in Elliott County. April 2010 an investigation was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations assisted by the Kentucky State Police. The investigation was conducted in the interest of Misuse of Government Funds and Vote Buying by Judge Executive David Blair and retired Fish & Wildlife Officer/Former Elliott County Deputy Judge Executive Barry Blair. Barry Blair was served today October 13, 2010, by the Federal Bureau of Investigations assisted by the Kentucky State Police. Service of Judge Executive David Blair's summons is still pending. The indictments were returned on October 8th, 2010 by the Federal Grand Jury in Lexington. Both were indicted for Conspiracy, Theft, and Misappropriated Use of Funds and Grant Money.
