Pedestrian Killed on Ky 715 in Wolfe County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On September 26, Wolfe County dispatch called to advise of a single motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Ky 715 north in Wolfe County. Trooper Endre Samu Unit 961, Trooper Erwin Eiserman Unit 346 and Trooper Mike McPherson Unit 633 responded to the scene along with Wolfe County Fire and Emergency Medical Services. James R. Creech of Rogers Ky was traveling north bound on Ky 715, when a 17 month old juvenile was left unattended and walked across the road. Mr. Creech came upon the juvenile in the middle of the road. Mr Creech failed to avoid the juvenile striking him in the roadway. Wolfe County Coroner Frank Porter pronounced the juvenile deceased on scene. Next of kin has been notified on scene. Blood tests are pending at this time. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the accident. No autopsy is scheduled. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Endre Samu Unit 961.
