Theft by Unlawful Taking Investigation and Arrest

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Morehead, KY received a theft complaint in Ezel, KY that someone had stolen three tree stands, two game cameras and various other hunting items from the farm of Kenneth Bowman. Trooper Charlie Bolin received some information that the items were stolen by Jeremy Pack and Ryan Cheek of Salyersville, KY. Trooper Bolin later located the tree stands and other stolen items in the front yard of Pack's residence in Salyersville. The game cameras where recovered from Cheek who brought them to Trooper Bolin. Cheek was arrested and charged with one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking O/$500 and one count of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. Pack was arrested and charged with one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking O/$500, one count of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, one count of Entry on Land Causing Damage While Hunting, one count of Entry on Land to Shoot/Hunt without Consent. Both subjects were turned over to the Morgan County Jailer. This incident remains under investigation of Trooper Charlie Bolin.
