Morehead Post Welcomes New Commander

(Morehead, Ky.) -- The Morehead Post of the Kentucky State Police welcomes a new commander. Captain Bobby D. Murray, an 11 year veteran, was assigned to Post 8 on August 16, 2010. Captain Murray's previous assignments include the Mayfield, Madisonville, and Frankfort Posts, and the Drug Enforcement-Special Investigations Branch. Most recently, he served as the Commander of the Driver Testing Branch. Captain Murray is a seven year veteran of the United States Army where he served with both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. He is a resident of Madisonville where he lives with his wife, Robin, and his two daughters, Haleigh (14) and Shelby (10).
When asked about his new assignment, Captain Murray stated, "I'm very excited about my new assignment as the Commander of this Post. In my first ten days here I've been thoroughly impressed by the pride and professionalism displayed by the men and women assigned here. I look forward to the challenges and accomplishments ahead of us, and in maintaining and cultivating partnerships with other entities and agencies of our area."
