Death Investigation in Powell County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- KSP Post 8 Morehead received a call Wednesday morning from the Powell County Sheriff Department requesting assistance on a report of a body located outside behind a residence on North Bend Road, in Stanton, KY. The victim, 65 year old Gary A. Washabaugh, was located on the ground by his back porch by a neighbor who called 911. The date of death is undetermined at this time. There were no visible signs of foul play noted at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow (July 29th). The case remains under investigation by Trooper Chris Sizemore.
