Four Injured in a Three Vehicle Collision on I-64

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call at 1720 hours advising of an injury accident that occurred on Interstate 64 west bound 120 mile marker. Jason S. Vanhoose II was traveling east bound in His Chevy Cavalier on I64 when crossed the median into the west bound lanes of travel. Erica Hay was operating a Dodge Stratus traveling west bound and attempted but was unable to avoid Mr. Vanhoose and stuck Mr. Vanhoose's Chevy in the passenger side, Ann Willis was traveling west bound in a Toyota Corolla with passenger Bernice McCall and stuck Erica Hay's Dodge in the right side. Jason S. Vanhoose II and Erica Hay were flown to UK Hospital. Ann Wills and Bernice McCall were transported by EMS to St Joe of Mt Sterling. Jason S. Vanhoose II was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Reconstructionists Detective Larry Bowling.
