Two injured in a two vehicle collision on US 25

(Richmond, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision with injures that occurred approximately three miles south of Richmond on US 25. Rebecca Carroll, age 36 of Irvine, was traveling north on US 25, when her vehicle apparently hydroplaned on the wet road surface. The Carroll vehicle then crossed over into the southbound lane of travel and struck a vehicle being operated by Stephen Fritz, age 52 of Richmond. Carroll sustained head and neck injuries, and was taken to the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Fritz sustained a cut to his hand and leg abrasions. Fritz was taken to Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond. The collision occurred at 2:27 p.m. this date. No charges are expected to be filed. Trooper Edwin Botkin is the investigating officer.
