Jackson County Collision Injuries Six

(McKee, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond is investigating a two-vehicle collision with injuries that occurred on KY 290 in the limits of McKee. According to the investigating officer, a vehicle being operated by Paulette Muncy, age 50 of Annville, was traveling East on KY 290 when she apparently fell asleep. Her vehicle, a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass, crossed over the centerline and struck a westbound 1988 Chevrolet S-10 pickup that was operated by Dicky Anderson, age 50 of Richmond. Muncy suffered a leg injury and was flown to UK Medical Center. Her passengers, Cieria Phinazee, age 7 , Conner Gotell, age 7, and Clifton Phinazee, age 11, all suffered pelvic and abdominal injuries. Cieria Phinazee was taken by ambulance to St Jospeh Hospital in Berea. Conner Gotell and Clifton Phinazee were flown to UK Medical Center. Anderson received a chest injury and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Berea. His passenger, Regina Begley, age 45 was flown to UK Medical Center with a chest injury. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Brent Lynch.
