Garrard County Fire Investigation

(Richmond, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond is currently investigating a residential fire that occurred at 2254 Fall Lick Road in Lancaster. The Garrard County Fire Department responded to the fire on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 11:23 p.m.. After the fire was contained, the KSP was asked to assist in the investigation. Evidence at the scene suggests that the fire was intentionally set by unknown persons. The KSP is encouraging the public to contact authorities with any information which may be helpful in identifying suspects in this case. They may contact the KSP at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or the Arson Tip Line at 1-800-27-ARSON. There is a reward of up to $5000 with any information which leads to an arrest and conviction in this case. The investigation by Detective Pat Alford continues.
