Harrison County PTO Treasurer Arrested

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On March 9, 2010, Kentucky State Police arrested the Northside Elementary Parent Teacher Organization Treasurer in Harrison County.
Stacey D. Harney, 41, of Cynthiana, was arrested and charged with one count of Theft By Unlawful Taking and nine counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree after being indicted by the Harrison County Grand Jury. Mrs. Harney is alleged to have stolen over $10,000 from the Northside PTO for her personal financial gain.
Theft By Unlawful Taking, when the value of the property is over $500, is a Class D felony, punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison. Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree is also a Class D Felony. Each count is punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison.
