Meth Lab & Fire Investigation in Napoleon, Ky

Date of News Release: 09/20/2010

(Napoleon, Ky.) -- Troopers received information just before midnight on Saturday, September 17 that a meth lab was located in a mobile home at 2045 Highway 16 in Gallatin County. As troopers arrived at that location, the residence was discovered in flames. The fire department was able to extinguish the flames in minutes. Troopers then located an active 'one step' meth lab and 3 grams of finished product inside a bedroom within the residence. Investigators were able to determine through investigation that the fire was not a result of the meth lab. A KSP unit specializing in the removal and disposal of the meth lab hazardous materials responded for clean-up.

No arrests have been made at this time. The fire remains under investigation by Arson Investigator Henry Nunn and Trooper Justin Sams. Assisting at the scene were the Gallatin County Fire department and Life Squad, the Glencoe Fire department, and Warsaw Police Department.
