Injury collision on KY920 in Grayson County

Date of News Release: 11/24/2010

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On Tuesday, November 23, at 8:17 pm Eastern Time, Kentucky State Police Post 4 responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on KY920, just east of Leitchfield. A 1997 Ford Taurus, operated by Bradley Hayes (age 20 of Leitchfield, KY), was traveling west on KY920, when a deer reportedly entered the roadway into path of the vehicle. Hayes swerved to attempt to avoid contact with the deer and lost control of the vehicle, which exited the roadway via the left shoulder and overturned several times. A passenger, Brandi Bush (age 17 of Big Clifty, KY), was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. Bradley Hayes and an additional passenger, Cory Snell (age 20 of Louisville, KY), suffered only minor injuries. All occupants were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, by Grayson County EMS, for treatment.
