Injury Collision on KY86

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On October 26, 2010, at 5:05 pm Eastern Time, Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post in Elizabethtown were called to the scene of an injury accident on KY86, 1 mile west of the Dyer community. According to the investigating officer, a 1999 Ford Taurus, operated by Kelly A Amoroso (a 25-year-old female from Irvington, KY), was traveling eastbound on KY86, when the vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the roadway, traveled up an embankment, and overturned. The vehicle reentered the roadway on its top and continued eastbound, until it struck a westbound 1995 Honda Civic, operated by Joshua R Willyard (a 20-year-old male from Cecilia, KY). Kelly Amoroso suffered life-threatening injuries, and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital by the Air Evac Life Team. Two passengers from the 1999 Ford Taurus, Sebastian Amoroso (age 1) and Joshua Amoroso (age 7), suffered minor injuries, and were transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Breckinridge County EMS. Joshua R Willyard and a passenger, Jesse Fox (a 21-year-old male from Irvington, KY), also suffered minor injuries, and were transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Breckinridge County EMS.
