Murder Investigation in Hardin County

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 5:12 am Eastern Time, the Kentucky State Police Post in Elizabethtown received a report of a possible double homicide at 3651 Shepherdsville Rd, Elizabethtown, from the homes owners' son, Steven O Buggeland. Troopers responded to the scene and discovered the victims, Terje R Buggeland (age 70) and Margaret Buggeland (age 76), deceased inside their home. Autopsies for both victims have been scheduled for Wednesday, September 22, at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville. Erik Buggeland A second son, Erik J Buggeland, a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, who resides at the residence with his parents, was not located at the scene. Also missing was a 2003 Honda Accord, bearing Kentucky registration plate 009EDC, which belonged to the female victim. Erik Buggeland is being sought for questioning and has been entered into the National Crime Information Computer as an endangered missing person.
