Pedestrian Killed on I-65

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On August 26, 2010 at 10:17 PM the Kentucky State Police Elizabethtown Post was notified of a possible semi versus pedestrian accident near the 100 mile marker of Interstate 65 southbound. Upon arrival troopers located the remains of Marion C. Dickerson a 36 year old female of Shepherdsville. Preliminary findings indicate that Ms. Dickerson was standing on the right shoulder of the roadway when for unknown reasons she entered the path of oncoming traffic and was struck by a 1998 Peterbilt semi being operated by Max A. Miller age 31 of Montpelier, Ohio. Troopers and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers on-scene where assisted by members of the Central Hardin Fire Department, Hardin County EMS, and the Hardin County Coroner. Bullitt County Sheriffs Office also assisted with notification of the next of kin. The accident is still under investigation by Trooper Mike Garyantes.
