Injury Accident/Criminal Arrest on the Bluegrass Parkway

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On Thursday June 10, 2010, at 3:41 p.m. Kentucky State Police received a report of an overturned vehicle near the 23 mile marker on the Bluegrass Parkway. Unit 1, a 1995 Honda SUV was traveling eastbound and ran off the left side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver Anthony Boone, 32, of Lawrenceburg, KY was transported to Flaget Hospital with minor injuries. He was released from the hospital and transported to the Nelson County Jail and charged with DUI 1st, trafficking in controlled substance 1st, possession/use of radio that send/receive police message, failure to notify DOT address change, prescription drug not in original container. A passenger in the vehicle, Justin Taulbee, 23, Lexington, KY was arrested and transported to the Nelson County Jail and charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st, prescription drug not in original container, possession/use radio that send/receive police message. There were two other passengers in the vehicle that were injured. Kelly Shell, 37, from Lexington, KY was transported to Flaget Hospital with minor injuries. She was released and transported to Nelson County Jail and charged with trafficking controlled substance 1st, prescription drug. Randy Shell, 45, Lexington, KY, was injured and transported to Flaget Hospital and then to University Hospital with serious injuries.
