Six Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- ON March 28, 2010, at 09:43 a.m. EST, KSP Troopers responded to the scene of a reported injury accident. U/1, a 2004 Dodge Durango was traveling on the WKP eastbound merging onto I-65 northbound when the driver Henry Snorton Jr., BM, 56, of Hopkinsville, Ky., lost control of the vehicle coming around the curve. The vehicle left the roadway overturning several times. The vehicle came to a final rest trapping a child underneath. A witness to the accident came to the aide and flipped the vehicle off enough to free him. The driver was taken to HMH with minor injuries along with his passsenger Adia Snorton, BF,29, of Hopkinsville, Ky. Three of the four children,ages 11, 8 and 5 were also taken to HMH with minor injuries. A fourth child, a 9 year old was taken by helicopter to Kosairs hospital with life threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated by Trooper Brian Mouser, Kentucky State Police, Post 4 in Elizabethtown.
