Two injured in a single vehicle collision on the William Natcher Parkway

Date of News Release: 12/15/2010

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Anthony A. Moore was traveling northbound on the William Natcher Parkway in the left lane of travel. Mr. Moore stated that he turned to speak to his daughter, who was seated in a car seat behind the driver. Mr. Moore's vehicle drifted into the right lane while crossing the bridge near exit 26. Mr. Moore overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the center line returning to the left lane, running off the left side of the roadway into the median where it struck the end of the guardrail with the drivers side passenger door. Willa Grace Moore was ejected from the vehicle while still in the car seat. Mr. Moore's vehicle continued to slide northbound while in the median. Mr. Moore's vehicle came to final rest in the median with the front end facing west. Mr. Moore and Willa Grace Moore were transported to the Bowling Green Medical Center by EMS. Mr. Moore was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. Willa Grace Moore was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital and admitted for serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
